SnapText ("we," "our," or "the app") is an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) application that extracts text from images. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how it is used.

1. Data Collection
SnapText does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All processing happens entirely on your device.
- Images you scan are processed locally using on-device machine learning (Google ML Kit). Images are never uploaded to any server.
- Extracted text and scan history are stored only on your device using local storage (SharedPreferences and local file system). This data never leaves your device.
- No account or registration is required to use the app.
- No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs are included in the app.
2. Permissions
The app may request the following permissions:
- Camera — to capture images for text extraction. Photos are processed locally and not stored unless you choose to save them.
- Photo Library — to select existing images for text extraction.
3. Third-Party Services
SnapText uses Google ML Kit Text Recognition, which runs entirely on-device. No data is sent to Google or any third party during text recognition.
4. Children's Privacy
SnapText does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app contains no features designed to collect personal information.
